Frequently Asked Questions

Do credits work in TermsGuard, CoverClear, and BillClear?

Yes. NexusDocs uses one credit pool. A summary analysis in any of the three apps uses one credit. Follow-up questions on that document are included. You don’t buy a separate plan for CoverClear or BillClear.

How does the Free tier work?

You get 3 document analyses per month. Each analysis includes a plain-English summary and risk or coverage highlights, with a limit of 5,000 characters per document. You can ask follow-up questions on any document you’ve analyzed. Credits work in TermsGuard and CoverClear.

What’s the difference between Pay as You Go and Pro?

Pay as You Go is a one-time credit pack (45 analyses) that never expires — ideal if you only need occasional document reviews. Pro is $19/month with unlimited analyses for people who review contracts or policies regularly. Both plans work in TermsGuard and CoverClear.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes. You can change your plan or switch to pay-as-you-go at any time.

Is my data private?

We do not keep your documents as a permanent archive. They are processed for analysis. Do not upload information you would not send to a document tool.

Is there a limit on document size?

Yes. The Free tier supports documents up to 5,000 characters. Paid plans support up to 50,000 characters per document—enough for most contracts, leases, privacy policies, and insurance policies. Larger documents may be truncated to the plan limit.

What if my document is larger than the limit?

We’ll analyze up to your plan’s character limit. If you regularly work with longer policies or multi-part agreements, contact us—we’re expanding support for larger documents.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards via Stripe. No long-term contracts required.

Is my document encrypted?

Yes in transit. You paste text or extract a PDF in your browser. That text is sent over HTTPS to our servers, then over HTTPS to the AI service for analysis. The result comes back the same way.

Each step is encrypted on the network. The services that analyze the document must read the text to produce a summary — this is not end-to-end encryption. The PDF file itself is not uploaded; only the extracted text is sent.

NexusDocs is built for analysis, not as a long-term document archive. We process the text for your request so we can return a summary, flags, and answers. We do not operate a permanent library of customer documents.
